This site exists because of a specific, repeated moment: somebody is standing in front of a furnace, or a purifier, or a box on a shelf, holding a dirty part with a number printed on it, and they want to know whether the replacement fits. Not which one is best. Whether it fits.

So everything here starts from a number that is already in someone hand. A furnace filter says 20x25x1 and measures something else. A purifier cartridge says Core 300-RF. A portable air conditioner is sold under two different BTU figures on the same box. Those are the entry points, and the site is organized around them rather than around product categories.

Where the facts come from

Two sources, and only two. Product characteristics come from the listing for that product, and are written as what the listing states. Anything about standards, test methods, or safety comes from published documents — EPA, ASHRAE, the Department of Energy, CPSC, CDC, NIST — with a link to the document.

Where a listing is silent, the page says it is silent. Where a listing names three compatible machines, three appear; nothing is extended to a fourth because its model number looks similar. That rule costs the site some completeness and it is not negotiable.

What this site does not do

• No testing. Nothing here was measured, tried, or lived with by anyone writing it, and no sentence on the site claims otherwise.
• No medical claims. Not about allergies, not about illness, not about symptoms, not about air and health. Where a listing uses that language, it is quoted as the seller wording and nothing is built on it.
• No thermostat wiring guidance. No terminal assignments, no diagrams, no advice about conductors. Power off at the service panel, run the manufacturer compatibility checker, and call a licensed HVAC professional when it is unclear.
• No advice to fit the highest MERV rating available. Finer media resists airflow more, and the equipment manufacturer documentation is the only thing that settles what belongs in a slot.
• No invented experts, no fabricated quotes, no prices, and no star ratings.

What is actually on it

12 compatibility pages, 5 decoders for ratings systems that overlap and contradict each other, 6 rooms, two tools, and a catalog of 48 listings. All of it static, all of it revised as 2026 goes on.
